Hi Krew,

Ms. Klein and I just want to reiterate how impressed we are with the work you completed for the audio projects. A special kudos goes out to Jasmine for learning Movie Maker and turning her group’s audio piece, “Guns and Violence” into a full fledged video. I hope to post that video in the near future.

Today, we are going to feature the audio piece, “Busted” written and produced by Gil’s group. This team worked very hard to create an authentic telling of life on the mean streets of NYC. This narrative shows how the choices we make can lead us down different paths, and no matter what path we choose we always have to face up to the consequences of the decisions we make.

Ms. Klein and I were especially impressed with this group’s ability to create true-to-life dialogue that represents the minds of teens trying to find their way in NYC. We were also extremely pleased to see the many edits and revisions this group made to their writing, and their skilled use of the first person point of view.

Krew, don’t forget to leave your comments offering warm and cool feedback. We look forward to reading your thoughts on this extremely thought provoking piece.
